About Moreton Institute of TAFE

As the second largest TAFE Institute in Queensland, Moreton is recognised as a leader in the provision of excellence in training and education . We provide training to over 30,000 Australian and international students every year. We have three major campuses at Mt Gravatt, Bayside and Wynnum (all within 15-30 minutes drive from the City centre). Just recently we have opened new training rooms in the city centre. Moreton's facilities include: gymnasium, e-learning centre, canteens and libraries.

Moreton Institute of TAFE has two main campuses, these are situated at Mt Gravatt (10-15 minutes by bus from the city centre) and Bayside (25-30 minutes from the city centre). Both campuses are located in an area where accommodation is not only readily available but also reasonably priced. Campuses are closely located to major shopping centres and public transport. Moreton Institute of TAFE is located in a culturally diverse region of Brisbane, which accounts for our large cross section of student nationalities.

Students are given the opportunity to learn a range of skills and gain qualifications that are government accredited, such as Certificates, Diplomas, and Advanced Diplomas. Courses are developed in close consultation with industry and are taught by highly qualified, caring teachers.

International Study Tour Program

About the Study Tour
Moreton Institute of TAFE can customise any study tour program to suit your requirements. The study tour program can provide a functional English program with homestay accommodation and organised scheduled excursions and activities. This provides students from around the world with the chance to experience Australian life.

The study tour programmes can

• vary in length of duration
• Contain interactive and relevant lessons in all major areas can be organised. For example a program containing one or combination of the following areas could be developed - horticulture, fashion, information technology, multimedia and engineering
• Any number and level of English language skill classes. English language skills classes aim to give oversas students confidence in their ability to effectively communicate in English as a second language. Moreton's English language skills classes have been developed by professionals from our English teaching staff.
• Be provided at any time - Moreton Institute can provide an intensive programme to be undertaken during school/college/university breaks.
• Many and varied cultural activities. Activities could include visits to:
  Gold and Sunshine Coast beaches, Lone Pine Sanctuary, River Cruise and Aussie BBQ, Mt Coot-tha, University of Queensland, Science Centre, Southbank Parklands, Dreamworld/Seaworld, Museum/ Art Gallery

Accommodation
Moreton International Student Services will arrange accommodation with Homestay families who have been selected by Moreton's International Student Services team or motel/hotel accommodation can be organised. Homestay accommodation: Provides students with an insite into the Australia way of life and gives them the opportunity to practise their English in a natural environment. Includes breakfast, lunch and dinner during the week and the three meals a day on the weekends when students are staying with their host families.
